La Légende des Siècles
It is a project that is close to my heart, the promotion of reading.
So I designed a layout allowing a book to be read on a cell phone, because it is a device that all our contemporaries have and if we want to bring back the non-readers to reading, it is not uninteresting to start from there.
I have drawn from my vast typographic collection to create a typographic entertainment around a great text, La Légende des Siècles, by Victor Hugo, one of the greatest French writer of all time ; it is a epic, a vast collection of poems in 3 series.
The text is reproduced in its entirety, which brings the book to 714 pages :-)
To the pleasure of the text is mixed the pleasure of the typographic variations in the service of a visual and poetic experience entertaining, instructive, I hope, the most pleasant possible.
The text of Victor Hugo is of course in the public domain and I place the typographic arrangement I made under a Creative Commons BY-ND-NC license.
